GREAT TIPS TO QUICKLY GET WHYPARK BENEFITS
July 6th, 2009 Posted in General Domain NewsWhyPark? Are all domainers, and I mean people who invest in domain names, utilizing the free WhyPark services available to them right now?
Are you looking through your parking service stats monthly and seeing no results for those keyword domains in ccTLD’s, SLD’s, .net’s and .orgs extensions, and those longtail .coms you still believe in?
If not, you should be. You’re wasting valuable time and cheating yourself by not doing this. Parking domains for PPC revenue that isn’t coming will keep your domains dead. You need to bring some life to those domains.
Do you have 30 minutes a day to prepare a list of your favorite domains that aren’t performing through PPC?
Are you a domain flipper? Are your average sales between $200 – $2000 a sale? Do you want to increase your domain’s visibility, credibility, and value? If so, keep reading, my hearties. I was fortunate and honored to be the Vice President of Business Development for WhyPark until my services were fulfilled when Parked.com acquired them in March of this year. Now I’m a free agent, but I’m still loyal and extremely meated up on WhyPark.
I want to give my readers some “experienced” information on how to start achieving something better for their “Non-PPC Domains” (NPPCD’s). Here’s my insider tips (and links for new users to sign up) to gain benefits you can’t get anywhere else for the price and effort.
I’m more than ever a big WhyPark supporter, but I’ve seen a lot of good suggestions and questions on the forums and blogs lately, which is really great, because it shows interest and growth for both domainers and WhyPark.
Be aware that the results differ depending on each domain name, the WhyPark service level you’re at, your input, and whether your karma is set straight… (do you give a dollar to the begger at the freeway offramp? He/she could be Jesus… just in case, give them some loose change or more and cover your bets!)
Here’s the inside tips for advancing the value of your domains quickly on WhyPark:
1) If you open a Standard account and start dumping your non-performing domains into it, make sure you go for the “most unusual keyword phrases”. Forget the “one name” keywords. Use terms like “how do I get cheap insurance” and “best monthly insurance payments”. This forces the SE’s to push those search terms towards your WhyPark sites. Remember, you aren’t using Whypark for your premium Natural domains that get 1000 typeins a month, you’re using Whypark to build up “SET” (Search Engine Traffic), or what some people call “OST” (Organic Search Traffic). Your first goal is to get SE indexed. This could take about 90 days.
BIG TIP FOR #1: Open “CUSTOM PAGES” and create a new page. Search the internet for articles matching your domain keywords and cut and paste them into a Word or text program. Then REWRITE the articles, clearly re-arranging the paragraphs and utilizing new verbs and adjectives, but follow the “strength” of the keywords of your domain. Get about 500 – 1000 words together that you have written and that are not exact or even closely similar to sources you obtained the info. Just use other content as a “map” or resource to help you write your own content. Then paste it into your Custom Pages.
2nd BIG TIP FOR #1: Be sure to paste only 100 words per Custom Page. So if you have a 500 word article, make five Custom Pages, and so on. The SE’s will see this as new relevant info, page generation, and this will help your site get indexed faster. It takes about 30 minutes if you’re a good writer to put together 1000 words relevant to your domain. This is your most important move for your Whypark sites, because your original content pushes the WhyPark content to the background and gets your content up front, avoiding the “copy” page syndrome. Everybody knows the biggest websites use newsfeeds and identical content daily, but it’s the “original” content, pics, text, feeds, and the whole mix together, that sets your website apart and helps get the indexing started.
2) If you are on a Managed Setup, do the same as #1 above, but also put in an RSS feed and original pics. How hard is putting in original pics? Forget paying the stock photo houses. Got a digital camera? Go take a 100 photos of buildings in your town that look new (photoshop out the names and addresses on the buildings).
-Take 100 closeup photos of items on a desk, table, whatever matches your domain keywords.
-Ask a few friends to dress up and get them to sign a “model release” (you can get a copy of a model release form for free online – Be sure to do this! It will save you legal hassles later and it’s easy to do). Take some pics of people together, looking like corporate hacks, typing on a keyboard, standing outside a building, holding a briefcase, talking on cellphone, etc. You can build up hundreds of your own original digital pics in one week if you take the time to do it right. Once you have the pics, apply them to the appropriate sites. Then ask Kelly at WhyPark to help guide you to optimizing the particular domains you’re working on that week. She’s an expert, and if you’re nice, will provide your sites with some great tips.
3) Focus working on 10 domains at WhyPark each week, and add content for those domains (give about 30 minutes per domain — which is about 5 hours a week). In ten weeks, you should have 100 domains built out, optimized with pics, 1000 words of original content, arranged with the right templates, RSS feeds, and other goodies.
4) WhyPark is not a lazy man’s way to riches. It’s better.
WhyPark is a perfect platform for domainers who want to get their domains to gain value by getting SE indexed, and potentially bring in returning users, getting bookmarks, and hopefully closing some affiliate sales, PPC rev through their own adlinks or using Parked.com’s, and if you’re smart, sell some ebook sales on your subject mattered, authored by you.
5) Be sure to put a “Bookmark This Site For New Information” in the navbar of every WhyPark website you have.
In summary: Here’s my story on my domains I started parking at WhyPark last year:
In about a year’s time, I have about 60% of my domains getting traffic and making money when they weren’t making anything before. Some may be only pennies a month, some are several dollars, but even better for a domain flipper like myself, my domain sales for domains parked at WhyPark have increased in enquiries, and have helped increase my asking price. End users are impressed when they see a domain they want pointing to a website that looks like a working website, taking away all their business! I can ask for a higher price selling to an enduser who sees my domain with content at WhyPark than just a landing page from a PS.
Hope this helps. And if you are considering opening a WhyPark account, of course, using my ref link will give you an extra boost. I know, blatant pitch, but true. So CLICK HERE TO GET STARTED ON GIVING YOUR DOMAINS NEW LIFE!
What do I say about WhyPark? A good thing is a good thing regardless which side of the glass you’re looking through.

What do you suggest to do if I go the route of not using the whypark ads and adding my own affiliate links and banners. (I also make custom boxes with affiliate products as well)
From what I understand if I choose to NOT use whypark ads then any content that is generated by the keywords, and is clicked on I will NOT get money for that correct? Only if I choose the whypark ads will I get paid for clicks.
Please confirm this or expand on what is best for non performing domains (non performing as in 1-50 hits a month)

Hi Ricky,
You can still use Whypark ads too, but you’ll need to move to a Managed level setup. Since you’re not a client of mine and I can’t speak for payouts for your own ads utilized at Whypark, you’ll get the best answers for this by logging into your account and getting Kelly live on chat, or emailing to support@whypark.com. Good questions tho!

Yo SuccessClick!
Still building the empire with Whypark here too.
My portfolio is really starting to roll now – in fact sold a hand reg $7.05 domain that I put on Whypark a year ago for $3,500 and I’m also in negotiations for a few more (I play a slowwwww hand).
The main reason I was able to pull that kinda’ loot was the buyer made the comment saying “I see you have a website there”, so of course I played that card. “Developed” website premium pricing can always be justified to an end user over a “parked” domain IMO.

You da man, Lumpy! I’ve sold two domains for several thousand dollars that I parked on Whypark, and I’m sure the fact they saw a working website on the domain they wanted was a big reason for convincing them they better “snatch” that domain out of the hands of a competitor quick. The company that owns their prodservs domains is the winner online. Period.
You’re one of the best examples of WhyPark’s services creating a nice cash flow, so it’s great hearing from you bro!
CU later old friend,
I bookmarked ya’, I’ll stop in from time to time.
