MY DOMAINS ARE PREMIUMS, SO WHY DO I SELL THEM CHEAP?

February 23rd, 2010 Posted in Aftermarket, General Domain News

I own a lot of great domains. I bought portfolios over the years because they were sold cheap, and I resold pieces of these portfolios for as much as I paid for the whole portfolios. Every domainer should be so lucky! I usually sell these quickly through Snapnames, Sedo, and Afternic. However, I’m no longer going to resist the power of the readership I get at my blog so why not keep all the sales profits? ;-)

Many domainers know I’m mainly focused on new technology niches. This give me the opportunity to sell about 1200 generic domains I’ve owned for many years, and have been selling them successfully as cherry picks in the last two years.  I find some excuse to sell them when I want, and for this batch, I’m calling it “Pre-Spring Specials”. I know, it sounds like you’re buying clothing from a catalog, but it’s all good.

Straight up, I’m selling these domains for $99 – $199 each just to blow your mind.  I invite comments on my domains, and hope you see something in the below list that gives you a “what! Nice name for cheap!” type of feeling.

I accept Paypal only payments to my Verified Paypal account. You can reach me at Successclick -*at-* gmail.com (of course the “*at*” is meant to be the symbol @.  You can also post here any domain name with “SOLD” to secure it for yourself.

Here’s the list of domains and prices:

AntiLockBrakeSystem.com – $199

SaltwaterPump.com – $199 (hint hint!)

PodDJ.com – $99

TireLight.com – $199

BloodPressureProducts.com – $99  – SOLD

LyricExpert.com – $99

RankMyBeauty.com – $99

BARSTOWJOBS.COM – $99

RadioControlRacing.com – $199 – SOLD

LinkToMoney.com – $99

Neurasthenia.com – $199 – SOLD

OATMEAL-COOKIE.COM – $99

Mastectomy-Products.com – $99

FlareLauncher.com – $99

AutomotiveComponent.com – $99

BMXramp.com – $199 (hint hint!)

HeavyDutyBattery.com – $199  (hint hint!)

UPDATE:  BULK SALE PRICE FOR ALL DOMAINS ABOVE: $1,000

Let me know, first come, first serve!

NEWS UPDATE:  I am finally taking the time to provide an email subscription service for my readers on domains like this so I don’t have to post them on my blog. I should have it up and running by April. Stay tuned, and thank you for reading my blog. If you see a domain you like, email me quick!

Much Success!

    I emailed you about Neurasthenia.com.

Just waiting for your reply before I send payment.

    XXXXXX Stephen Douglas Responds:

    Hi Tony,

    Thanks for your enquiry.
My response in your email. (by the way, you have a killer domain for your URL you provided on your post, ToasterOven. Just by chance, I was interested in buying a new one for my den. Clicked your site and found some great comparison sites links…thanks)

I can only see two great name that worth around $50 quid others are just reg fee. Best of luck mate.

    XXXXXX Stephen Douglas Responds:

    Hi Soji,

Which ones did you like? Thank you for calling them “great”. My readers usually know that I throw in one or more domains worth ten times what I’m asking for a nice little bonus. The buyer discovers this after they buy it. The last buyer that did this bought “PerfectSpanish.com” for good price, and was able to get it into auctions for more than 10 times what he paid, within a month. I’m a generous guy, I have so many nice domains to release for a cheap price because I have so many category future tech domains, about 100 of them surpass the value of 100,000 domains in other portfolios. (what a claim!)

Dude…..those are total trash domains. Who are you kidding?

You make yourself look like a fool publishing these…..just thought you might want to know. I’m not trying to be a smart-ass, just honest.

If you have been into domains as long as you say you have you then DO know these are total bunk domain, like I know they are. I guess you are trying to fool the ignorant.

No need to post this if you do not wish.

    XXXXXX Stephen Douglas Responds:

I’m game, Tim. Careless posts like yours are good for showing other domainers how to ascertain if someone knows what they’re talking about. I’m going to give you a chance to prove to everyone, if your name is real, that you know what you’re talking about.

Even though you didn’t provide an URL showcasing your own killer domains, I’m willing to use your comment to prove a point.

So here’s your test to prove your statements about the value of my posted domains. Can you meet these requirements and prove your expertise in the domain industry or will you hide out after tossing the rotten egg? Let’s see:

    1) I’ll make it easy. Just name two of my domains in the list that you think are “total trash” as you say.

    2) Explain how these two domains you chose cannot be used to make money, as in – no potential for branding or monetization, including your explanation why they don’t have the ability to brand a website using various methods from PPC to OST, CPA’s to owner/affiliate ebook/product/services fulfillment.

    3) Determine why these domains aren’t worth the below wholesale prices asked. (We’re talking $99 and $199 for these domains, not four figures and up.) That means, show an example of an OOTB alternative domain (OOTB means new reg), and explain why your alternative domain is better than spending $99 – $199 for each of my two domains you selected to “evaluate” at my request.

    4) (Value tip) Point out if the two domains you selected don’t have a google image for the “quoted term” of the domain, such as “tire light”. Is the domain a category-killer, with actual prodservs behind it? (oops, revealed a big secret in finding out the viability of a domain here).

I am always willing to hear why my 12 years of domain evaluation and appraisals are wrong. These domains have been filtered through my renewals for years, based on the fact they have either made enough PPC to pay for their renewal, or a potential end user would want them to backbrand their prodservs/company.

All you need to do is back up your understanding of domain evaluation. We’re not even talking about appraisals here, just whether the domains are worth $99 – $199.

I’ll bet $50 off on any domain you choose, that you won’t respond with answers to the above 4 questions I ask you. I would love to be taught a lesson I haven’t learned in the last decade in the domain industry.

P.S. Most reader of my blog know when I post a list of domains for sale, that there is a domain or two in there that makes decent PPC, and will give big returns following a variety of monetization paths, making the domain name worth at least 10 times the amount I’m asking. It’s up to my readers to find that domain by doing their homework. Maybe I should make this more clear for noobies like you so you’ll do that homework before making your comments.

Is the domain Neurasthenia.com sold? Thank you.

    XXXXXX Stephen Douglas Responds:

    Hi Stefan,

Yes, the domain sold within a few hours. I’ll be presenting domains of similar quality once or twice a week until I finish my SuccessClick.com Email Domain Newsletter, where you can sign up to get notified of these types of good offers by email.

Neurasthenia.com for 199$.. Is it true? Or its a joke, I guess.
    Anyway, good names for lowballs.
    Lol

    XXXXXX Stephen Douglas Responds:

    Hi Duras,

Yes, my readers know I throw out some great domains for cheap now and then just to test their ability to spot them!
If you read further, you’ll see a post from someone who doesn’t agree that I’m “lowballing” good domains, as you say! I agree with you… cheers (BTW: Yes, Neurasthenia.com sold immediately for $199). I’m curious about one of the best domains “HeavyDutyBattery.com” not selling by now. It’s been almost 24 hours!

  8. By Kevin on Feb 24, 2010

    Hey Stephen,

I may be interested in SaltwaterPump.com. I noticed you have a page 1 rank in Google for “saltwater pump”. Have you received much traffic from this?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    XXXXXX Stephen Douglas Responds:

    Hi Kevin,

The domain when parked at Fabulous was making about $25-$50 a year, unoptimized. I moved it to Parked.com, still unoptimized, and made less than a dollar last year. About 80 typeins. However, even though I know PPC is like “on Mars” right now, I find that strange because this domain represents a product used for saltwater aquariums with FIVE “exact quote” adsense links. That is rare for a two word domain name in a small niche. Additionally, a saltwater pump is very important in converting seawater to freshwater in saltwater conversion projects in Saudi Arabia and Africa. I bought it for its future value in the latter projects. You did your homework, which is what I’m looking for in my buyers regarding the posted list here. Good job.

If you want it, email me quick because someone enquired about it yesterday. Haven’t heard back from them yet.
