SUCCESSCLICK OPENS UP NEW TECHNOLOGY WITH A DOMAIN
May 4th, 2008 Posted in General Domain News
I know most domainers want to make a nice profit with their premium domains. I’m no different. I’d like to see some big money from domains I own, but something touched me a few weeks ago that made me want to explore new “trails” that I blazed by selling a domain for thousands of dollars less than what it actually was worth, and possibly tens of thousands of dollars less than what it would be worth in the near future.
I was contacted by Professor James Hamilton of the University of Wisconsin - Platteville when he asked if he could buy my domain “GRAPHENESOLUTIONS.COM”. I had just bought the domain (at Fabulous.com) after reading the new technological advances in energy efficiency. Without going into the mind-altering and sense-boggling descriptions of what graphene is, I can tell you that this new product is going to change everything in our world. I will bet $1000 on it if anyone wants to give me five years to prove it.
The Professor wanted to buy the domain, but I knew the value of this new technology. I uncharacteristically didn’t do any further research on his name to gauge how much I thought I could charge him, which should be a normal procedure by anyone selling a domain to a buyer who contacted them first. I just like the idea that he said he and his students wanted the domain to further their studies and produce the results on a website with this domain name.
I decided that the price he offered was too low ($500) so I wanted to try an experiment with the domain sale. I asked the professor to agree to allow my blog link to be placed on the bottom of the pages of any website he built with the domain. He agreed. Then he sent me these links to who he was, and the name of this young student who helped create this new technology product “graphene”. To my surprise, the scientists who bought the domain are the ones who created the product!! Whoa! That was astounding to me.
Here’s a link on the “graphene” scientists: http://www.cogito.org/Interviews/InterviewsDetail.aspx?ContentID=16697
I own a lot of other “graphene” related domains, which by the look of who is backing the buyer of “graphenesolutions.com” (Dow Corning), there is a lot of future in graphene-related domain names. So readers, have at it, but I’ve already grabbed the good ones. Email me if you want to invest learning how to read future technology in domain names that will pay off big within five years (or sooner).
I will keep you updated as to the progress of the domain “graphenesolutions.com” and how these brilliant scientists, one of them only 18 years old (he was 17 when he discovered the graphene product), are progressing with their project. At most, this shows you that the smallest technological news report can actually bring you some excitement by being a part of something that is changing the world when you buy a domain name that you “gambled” would be a good brand for that technology.
Successclick will show you how you can follow this path to buy domains that promise to bring you back huge returns on your domain investments. Think about all the possibilities the future presents YOU!

Predictive domaining is one of the main path to make money for new domainers or domainers having low budget.
This story is a great sample. Congrats.

Hi Francois,
“Predictive Domaining” is a nice term! Hope you registered it! However, there’s a lot more to this domain-buying theory than just reading the news. Thanks for your nice comment.

http://www.PredictiveDomaining.com is already taken and it is a great blog!
I am also heavily into Nanotechnology and want to assure everyone who has been convinced all the generics are taken has a very, very limited view of the world.
I agree with your comments on graphene! If you are not invested in graphene domains get invested in graphene in every other avenue you can think of.
I used to get frustrated because the “big domain auction house” had passed up a lot of my domains for their auctions… Now, I am so relieved that it worked out that way! Their algorithims were not measuring my domains in any meaningful way -so their potential slipped under the radar.
Meanwhile, I have held onto the generics of the future, like your graphene domains, that will make me millions and create an amazing future for our children.

Hi Kelly, just checked out your very nice website, predictivedomaining.com. It’s right on the money.

Nice find Stephen. I suggest you start creating Graphene related content to get some search rankings.
Last year I bought alot of premium quality domains related to Wireless Electricity which is currently being developed and studied at MIT. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WiTricity

Thanks Mark. “wireless Electricity” Nice niche! Write to me at successclick at-at gmail.com and I’ll give you some basic variations to consider in the “marketing” analysis of domain hunting on your niche. By the way, you shouldn’t announce any future tech niche you’re looking at until you feel comfortable about owning all the top 20 “business/consumer” variations of the domain. I’ve heard of that niche tho, and it has great promise. Hope you nailed a few goodies!

I can’t claim Predictivedomaining.com. I just knew it was taken because I am a frequent visitor of the site. Barry Goggin is the site owner. His background is in molecular biology and now he is domaining. Very cool! I will send him a link to your site!

My mistake, Kelly. Thanks for the correction! Thanks for the linkage too.

Graphene is going to change many things in our world, I hope we can see some of these new technologies soon it will be very exciting.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for posting. Yes, graphene products are going to blow our tech world wide open, from everything I’ve read in the last six months.
Here’s some nice article links. I predict that this story is going to push forward harder than just these small media links. Within 30 days, the big Media will be reporting on this…
