I’ve been watching general consumer and business sales, and the news articles regarding future trend products and services (prodservs) that are pushing ahead. There are a few that are fighting now to be the “trending” topic, even though a few years ago, nobody had them on their radar except for FT domainers. Five years ago, nobody even figured a printer could create a physical 3D model, and be affordable too.
Our FT Domain Categories, in no particular order, are as follows:
Solar
Robotics
Holo
3D
Wind Energy
Ocean (Tidal) Energy
Thermal Energy
Bio Energy
Electronic Clothing
Alt. Energy Rechargers
Smart Communications (smartphones, cellphones)
We are seeing a huge push in almost every one of the above FT categories. We’re analyzing each of them daily, and deciding which are the best categories for the fastest recognition and “need” of these FT category prodservs by consumers and businesses.
Successclick.com and FutureTrendNetwork.com™ members all have their interpretation of what category is growing the fastest for them, even simply basing their decision on what type of domain name they own that falls into a particular FT category. For us, we get more solar and robot domain requests than any other.
How do your FT domains work for you? What domains are making you the most revenue based on your monetization choices, and which domain categories are your most popular with domain buyers or inquiries?
We’d love to hear your expert analysis of the FT categories above, and if we left one out, please let us know! One thing is for certain: Those domain investors who think FT domains are some phony dream scheme, get back to us when 3Dprinters are in every home by 2014.
If you wish to be on the mailing list for when FTN launches and releases a mountain of valuable information for investment in domains, simply sign up for the http://www.successclick.com newsletter. We may not talk about it in detail now, but it’s in breakout mode for 2013. This is an exciting new field for domain investment, and you can search up any of the FT domains our members own and find amazing results about those domain topics, and maybe, if you’re lucky, pick up a phrase that will get you a dotcom FT domain that could pay off in the millions.
Remember, EVERY domain you buy is “speculation”. Those who post comments about not “speculating” on FT prodservs they don’t see at Walmart, don’t realize that every domain phrase they purchase is an investment based on “speculation”. The difference is, FT Domainers are educated about what they’re searching for and expect to emerge triumphant. For every single major achievement in financial and commercial success, the person who achieved based their investment on FUTURE IDEAS. That’s a fact.

Glad to see a new post from you, Stephen. Post more often.
The two categories that you should add to your list are nano technology/nano materials, and printed electronics/printed devices.
The rectangular boxes that we currently can’t live without, and use to communicate and consume content (whether mobile phones or tablets) will have an entirely different form-factor within 5 years.
Also, health monitoring will be revolutionized by printed-electronic tattoos, which will become a common device worn by patients.
Hope you are right about nanotechnology. I have one of the category killers for portable nano devices. Registered it about 12 years ago after getting the idea from an episode of The Outer Limits and have waited patiently.
Hello there,
You might also consider adding 4K names.
3K is the new 3D
: )
Hi Stephen, what do you think about the new trends in lighting technology, looks like ” Light Emitting Panels ” are going to hit the market soon (if not already).
@Ojohn,
Yes, this is an exciting new area and we have investments in these types of technology domains. Lighting will be come drastically cheaper in the next five years thanks to new LEP and even LED bulb mass manufacturing. All sorts of cool applications with this technology, especially in marketing, will be appearing soon. Do your homework everyone! Thanks for bringing up this FT subject, Ojohn.
even oled and amoled (lighting) displays are the future devices too – amoled-displays.com ,-)
Here are some categories that we might see this new technology being applied to actual products in the near future. These are not a new kind of light bulb, the material itself is emitting light, for example there are the old “ Light Up Shirts “ that the light is produced by LEDs , but in the “ Light Emitting Shirts “ the fabric itself is emitting light.
Light Emitting Glass
Light Emitting Panels
Light Emitting Fabric
Light Emitting Windows
Light Emitting Wallpaper
Light Emitting Paint
Light Emitting Shirts
you forgot about 8k that’s the future, 4k is already here.
Dont forget the biggest trend – Mobile Payments.
Cheers
Google is getting aggressive in the wallet space!
Introducing: The Physical Google Wallet Card – Coming Soon To Google Wallet, And More New Features
http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/11/01/introducing-the-physical-google-wallet-card-coming-soon-to-google-wallet-and-more-new-features
The future DN trends categories are almost infinite, just depend on your time scale you are focused, of course, these coming sooner are more attractive for original domainers than in next 100, 200 years.
so I would not divide the “Energy” category for the subcategories, or it should be added one more subcategory – Fusion Energy ,-)(more far on the time scale)
“TV future” category I would add too, with its Amoled,Oled,4K,4K2K,UltraHD subcategories.
“Medicine Future” – with its gene therapy(GeneOnDemand),nano therapy etc.
“Transport” – with its helicopter vehicles, self driving cars etc.
“Holo” -HoloCommerce ,-)
“House Units” – Power systems – FuelCellUnit
“Aftificial” category ,AI, actually you can put “artificial”+keyword and you have a long list of DNs.
“Future Gadgets” web-glasses
but you ask in the title, which are the best FT DNs right now ?
for me :
1)TV trend with its OLED,AmoledTVs ,-)obviously
2)Medicine
3)Energy
4)Holo
5)Future gadgets

Stephen, is there somewhere on the FT Network that people can post their domains to see what you and other FT domainers thought of them. Not looking for an appraisal, but more like trying to figure out which domains are worth hanging on to on the long term bases.
@OJohn
We’ll be having that service incorporated into the network once the details and papers are worked out for the investment team and hands on officers. Successclick will be having an easy only service in which to simply put in all your domains that you want to have ‘evaluated’ (only $.50 per domain from 100 to 1000, and then drops to only $.35 a domain 10001 and up). We are the only company that has the expertise to advise you simply “do NOT renew this domain” and provide it as a service. If you’re in a hurry, just email us at successclick.com a t g ma ail. Thx for writing, john
I am seeing some interest in my solar domains and still buying future trend domains. I am developing some of them and others are for resell.
Google “light bulb networks”. Might be some future potential in this technology. I have a group of domains in this space.
3D mobile videos next big thing
http://blog.pe.com/retail/2012/10/31/technology-3d-videos-next-big-thing
3D is still in the running!
FT DNs are actually one of the small group of DNs, which are handregistered and still have a chance to have a big ticket pay off in the future ! Just to be the first one, who reg. it ,-) This is the small magic :
1)there is not only needed to follow the trends in technology development
2) but then you must to project how the technology will be used , so something like social behaviour trends follow up
3)from that point you must to think how these things will be generically named.
4)you can register this name!
5)you have cca 1 percent of probability your name will be FT DN category killer name in 4-15 years.
easy job ,-)
AmoledTV guy
@Amoled
You summed up an FT domain investor quite astutely. It also applies to ALL domainers in some of your sentences, as in thinking about the generic uses of a domain name as a brand from a consumer standpoint. Good job, thanks for writing!
