Hi Stephen! I just heard the news of your new position with WhyPark – congratulations. It makes perfect sense that you would choose to work with a progressive company that’s actually changing the way domain parking works — I remember in our discussions over a year ago when we touched on some of these points.
I for one am fascinated to see what WhyPark is coming up with, in large part because I think the domain community has been waiting for something new for far too long.

Yep, I decided to get a real job and found that WhyPark is everything I’ve been trying to find for my domains in the last 5 years. Can you speak at all to the duplicate/syndicated content issue? I had about a dozen sites in WhyPark earlier in the year, and every one was de-indexed by Google. Several others I know of actually lost their AdSense accounts. What will WhyPark be doing in the future to prevent this sort of thing?

These issues have been addressed and we are actively preparing a list of common questions for our FAQ page to answer these issues. From what I know at this point, Google does what they want as far as placing websites where they want, whenever they want, for whatever unexplained reasons. Congratulations on the job! Being a full-time domiainer, and a developer my company has been developing out some of our domains, it really takes months to create a unique website with SEO built into the applications ( I’m not talking about just content ) I’m talking about services and products that are 100% new and unique. So I can truly appreciate any short cuts to the development process.

What I can’t help but wonder is services like whypark are for the most part scraping content from news sites and wikapedia, how are these any different than the sites that were made in the past that were branded as “made for google Adsense”? And were later banned from google?

As far as your comments alleging that WhyPark is “scraping content” from new sites and wikipedia”, you’re getting erroneous information. Contact WhyPark’s very capable support team about their content providing services. You’ll be satisfied this isn’t happening. Any adsense accounts banned from google six months ago weren’t the results of WhyPark’s content, and definitely our new content providing systems have been built to enhance your domain’s position with with adsense and other adfeeds/affiliate links you’re using.

Stephen — Congrats on the new position at WhyPark! I just stumbled onto your site and I’m glad I did. I just listed my first few domains with WhyPark last week. I love the concept and hope to add additional domains soon, depending on how the first few perform.

I’ve concentrated on buying domain with good development potential. Long term, I think that’s good, but in the short term, the domains just don’t work well for parking. I’m very hopeful that I see a jump in revenue with WhyPark as compared to parking.

Keep up the good work. I’ll keep an eye on your blog.

Can you share some example of WhyPark domains that are currently ranked in the top 5 results in Google for specific keywords – maybe even the sample sites you have listed on the WhyPark page? I did some searching on Google for sentences from articles on the sample sites, and the WhyPark site was listed in the omitted results section. For example, search Google for this sentence from Shufflemate.com: ” Customer rewards programs are not new in the world of online marketing and advertising. What is new is the growing number of companies who offer free gifts and prizes to anyone, for nothing more than visiting their websites.”

If someone searches Google for “customer rewards programs” and “free gifts,” a Topix website comes up, not Shufflemate.com. How would a visitor find the site?

Incidentally, I think the layouts are pretty good and encourage clicking on the sponsored ads.

These are all good questions and a lot of interested parties are asking them. The best thing I can offer you, for your own tests, is a free buildout on any domain you want us to work on. So pick a domain in your portfolio that doesn’t get good typein traffic, but is somewhat generic, and get in contact with me or Craig (at) whypark.com. I have been thinking about using WhyPark.com for a while. But I wasn’t clear on whether the system is able to create search-engine-friendly pages, nor whether the sites are submitted to Google, et al., on our behalf for indexing. Another question I have regards language support. We have some Spanish .com domains that get type-in traffic, and I’m sure they would get more organic traffic if I could get them indexed. Any info you could provide in addition to what you wrote in your post and what’s available in the WhyPark tour would be greatly appreciated.
